Discover Hardwood Archive

Hardwood Archive is a basketball history blog dedicated to exploring the ideas, players and stories that have shaped the game. Basketball is more than what just happens on the court, it also reflects the culture, politics, and society surronding it. Through historical analysis, player profiles and stories from different eras of the game.

The Hardwood Archive looks beyond the statistics and the games themselves, but instead dives into what isn't shown on our televisions and the impacts it's had on the players and our society as a whole. From the dominance of Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to the global impact of players like Dirk Nowitzki and Nikola Jokić, the goal is to uncover the larger stories hidden within basketball history and show how the game continues to evolve.
